Well as of last Friday, I am a graduate.
Something about that is more frightening than exciting. That's probably because I don't have a job lined up and have been forced to move back in with my parents. I know that's nothing unusual... I only know 3 people from my class that have jobs already, but it makes me feel like I'm a slacker or that I'm lazy. I worked really hard in College (Suma Cum Laude) so it feels like I haven't been prepared to graduate.
That being said, I'm taking a break until the new year (what is the likely hood something will open up during the holidays?) but my resume is going out like a new trend when I get back from my new year mini vacation.
I've got to. :S

Whew! What an exausting week!
But It looks like its going to be a great weekend. Wait, let me make sure. Are all the elements are present:
* No roommates?
Check.
* Most of the difficult homework already done?
Check.
*Actually got a workout in and the endorphins going?
Double check.
*Got a great knitting project at the ready?
You better believe it!
Oh yea... this looks more than promising.
Now all I have to do is finish an instructional speech for a class and get my apartment spick-and-span for next week. My boyfriend is coming down for my birthday weekend and I want things to look really nice when he gets here.
Mmm.. still riding the good feelings from the workout. I wish I could remember how good this feels on mornings when I don't want to get out of the bed and decide to go back to sleep for another half hour!
Oh well. The shower (and the pointy knitting sticks) beckon!

Sore spot.
So I just started a weight training program yesterday, and I have been looking forward to getting started and slimming down and all.
WOH nelly.
I guess its a sign when you start to get sore before you finish your reps. :S
I couldn't really sleep last night because some part of my lower body was not pleased-- be it my hamstrings or my butt. I didn't realize that my butt had more than one muscle group. It does-- I can feel them all.
This could put a hamper on my workout today. Well... it could put a hamper on walking, to be honest! haha

Special Birthday Surprise Ruined
My most favorite cousin in the entire world is having her birthday next Friday, so I have used my connections with the king of the ocean to make her a giant mermaid made of chocolate.
However, the dorkus did it all wrong.
I asked for milk chocolate-- he gave me dark.
I asked for gold foil-- he gave me silver.
You just can't get good craftsmanship out of the sea anymore.
Its just as well. I took a bite and it tasted like fish sticks.

Goflog God
Goflog protects the tree from termites, leaf rot, root fungus, and herpes. However, the presence of the God prevents the Magnolia tree from flowering. So you might as well have an oak. Because there won't be any smell at all.
Nope. Not even a whiff.
Look at his silent majesty. Can you feel his beady eyes stare right to the soul of an unsuspecting termite?
Now you know why the flowers fear to blossom. He's too darn ugly.

Chair Cult
I was stunned as I walked along campus today to discover the 121st annual chair cult convention to be holding its proceedings out in public. Usually these rare and sacred events happen within closed doors-- in auditoriums, gymnasiums or concert halls. It was a rare and special sight to see them all gathered on the lawn on this auspicious occasion.
I felt like I was interrupting something important by having to walk in between the columns of chairs. They were standing by at the ready, awaiting commands from the grand chair-man.

Studying
It is not hard to tell when its exam time. I have never seen the library so packed! Every study room was occupied, every study room was taken, and the computer labs were full.
Crazy times.
The windows in the library have tiny dots all over them.
While my study group was talking about the southern secession before the Civil War, I thought about whether the dots gave the window super powers. Though I'm sure it just helps block out some sunlight to save on the University's power bill.
But my super power theory is cooler.

Summer Evening
I was leaving to get some takeout (its exam week and I don't feel like cooking), and when I saw the sky I had to turn around to get my camera.
The purples and blues were absolutely beautiful. I had to drive with the windows down and let some of that air in.
This afternoon the temperature crept to 91F-- but when I left, the swelter was completely gone.
All the exam stress left me when I let that evening breeze go through my hair from the open windows.
I couldn't grab this properly, but the moon is so yellow tonight! It is so bright and full.
I hope this means there are good things to come.
Just beginning...
I have had this blog forever, but haven't found anything worthwhile to post in it. I already have a blog where I rant and rave about things, and I have too many passions to dedicate a blog to (and there are enough fantastic knitting blogs already). I finally decided today what I wanted to do.
I plan on taking a picture every day of something that strikes my fancy and posting it here with a story behind it.
How exciting.
